ABC Teachers is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a vibrant SEN school in Dudley on a full-time basis.About the Role:As an Learning Support Assistant, you will play an essential role in supporting the learning, emotional wellbeing, and personal development of students with a range of needs, including moderate to complex learning difficulties, social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, and physical disabilities.You will work closely with the class teacher and a team of skilled support staff to provide tailored interventions and encouragement, helping students to access the curriculum and reach their individual goals.The role involves supporting children and young people aged 4 to 19, both on a one-to-one basis and within small group settings, adapting your approach to meet their varied needs.This is a full-time position with the potential to become long-term for the right candidate.About the School:The school caters to a diverse cohort of students with a wide spectrum of special educational needs, providing personalised learning pathways and holistic support.With a strong, inclusive ethos, the school is committed to promoting success, independence, and confidence for every student.The staff team works collaboratively with families and external professionals to ensure that each child’s individual needs are met.The school offers a stimulating and nurturing environment and is easily accessible from Stourbridge, Oldbury, and Halesowen.Requirements
As the suitable candidate you will:
  • Have a suitable qualification for working with children and young people such as Health and Social Care, Children and Young People's Workforce.
  • Have experience of working with children with special education needs and disabilities.
  • Be confident in your abilities and skills to promote happy and confident learners.
  • Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications.
