Perhaps you are already an Operations Manager looking for that next challenge?Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for an Operations Manager to join our River Island contract based in Milton Keynes. As an operations manager you will work alongside the operation, leading, coaching and developing the middle management team. Ensuring optimum workforce planning is completed on a daily basis, with all daily objectives being achieved or surpassed.This is a full-time, permanent position. You'll be working Tuesday to Saturday, covering the hours of 14:00 till 22:00.Pay, benefits and more:We're looking to offer a salary of up to £60,000 per annum, and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays).   • Ensure that the customer needs are fully understood and translated into effective operational plans
  • Establish a positive working relationship with the customer and all associated functions, product teams, transport providers, IT systems, quality and other service departments and resolve problems to the benefit of the business
  • Aid in the management and planning of the people resource ensuring that the correct level of resource is available to manage the specific peaks for the whole operation
  • Review operational performance with a view to providing a culture of continuous improvement
What you need to succeed at GXO:
  • IOSH Managing Safely qualification would be advantageous
  • Previous experience in Continuous Improvement is essential
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written
  • Demonstrate experience in a fast moving retail logistic operation
