- Lead from the front - You’ll be our first Solutions Engineer and setting the standard for presales excellence. We’re looking for someone who can achieve success but also implement the internal playbooks to support team growth.
- Drive technical discovery and qualification - Partner with Account Executives throughout the entire deal cycle, leading technical sessions that uncover opportunities for maintenance automation, cloud migrations, code transformations, and deployment optimization while quantifying the business impact of solving compelling events and significant pain points.
- Architect and execute compelling proof of value cases - Build sophisticated technical demos that showcase how AppFactor’ solutions solve many use cases creating compelling moments and proof points that convert technical stakeholders into champions.
- Bridge technical and business stakeholders - Translate complex platform capabilities into business outcomes, helping decision-makers understand how automated maintenance, seamless migrations, and optimized deployments drive innovation velocity and competitive advantage.
- Orchestrate seamless customer journeys - Collaborate with GTM, Customer Success, and Product teams to ensure every opportunity progresses smoothly from initial discovery through successful handoff to implementation.
- Evangelize platform best practices - Share your expertise internally and externally through enablement sessions, partner training, and thought leadership that establishes AppFactor as the definitive solution for application lifecycle management.
- Continuously expand your impact - Stay at the cutting edge of software engineering, application maintenance, cloud transformation, and deployment optimization trends, contributing to product strategy while building the technical assets that scale our sales success.
- Proven customer-facing technical expertise - At least 3 years as a Solutions Engineer, Technical Consultant, or similar role where you've successfully guided complex technical sales cycles in enterprise accounts.
- Experience owning RFP responses - Demonstrated experience leading the assembly of technical materials in order to respond to customer RFIs and RFPs
- Deep software development foundation - 7+ years of hands-on development experience in technologies such as Java, .NET, or similar enterprise frameworks, with the credibility to engage senior technical stakeholders from the development domain.
- Application architecture analysis skills - Experience evaluating and understanding complex application architectures, with modernization experience being a significant advantage.
- Complex environment navigation - Demonstrated ability to work within and understand enterprise-grade technical environments and their associated challenges such as security topics.
- Modern technology fluency - Strong understanding of software architecture, cloud-native architecture, cloud computing concepts, containers, Kubernetes and DevOps practices.
- Technical communication excellence - Ability to create compelling technical documentation and deliver training that makes complex concepts accessible.
- Mobility and flexibility - Willingness to travel 10-30% to meet customers where they are and build relationships that drive deals forward.
- Exceptional written communication skills - (in English) with ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly
- Background experience with cloud migrations, application rewrites or modernization efforts.
- Experience with software development lifecycle and supporting tooling such as static analysis.
- Previous experience in high-growth B2B SaaS environments.
- Technical writing or content creation experience such as presentations.
- £100-£120k per annum
- £40k OTE bonus
