They have small classrooms, a playroom, sensory room, music room, and playground to enhance their experience. With a high staff-to-student ratio, each child receives individualised support tailored to their needs. The curriculum focuses on the unique requirements of each student, grouping them by similar needs and ages. They prioritise safety with trained staff who take any concerns about neglect or abuse very seriously. - Support students with Autism in their daily learning and development.
- Assist in implementing personalised learning plans and behavioural strategies.
- Foster a calm and positive learning environment.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to ensure support.
- Monitor and document student progress and wellbeing.
- Previous experience in a similar role or working with individuals with Autism is desirable.
- A genuine passion for supporting students with special educational needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant qualifications or training in SEN or Autism support (desirable).
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
- Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
