We specialise in Construction, Waste Management, Plant Hire, Demolition and Transport operations.We are currently seeking an experienced tyre fitter to join our Transport workshop. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years working in a workshop with tyres.Hours: 7am-5pm Monday to Friday. Option for overtime to be discussed at interview.Hourly rate: £14-£16 per hour dependent on experienceResponsibilities for the job role:
  • Inspecting HGV tyres for wear, damage, pressure, and compliance with legal standards.
  • Removing and fitting tyres using appropriate tools and machinery.
  • Repairing punctures, balancing wheels, and rotating tyres as necessary.
  • Recording tyre inspections, repairs, and replacements accurately in maintenance records.
  • Responding to roadside breakdowns and carrying out tyre repairs or replacements safely.
  • Ensuring stock levels of tyres, valves, and consumables are maintained.
  • Using torque wrenches to manufacturer specifications.
  • Working in line with health & safety regulations, ensuring all activities are carried out safely.
  • Supporting the workshop team with other mechanical or maintenance tasks as required.
  • Reporting recurring tyre defects or vehicle issues to supervisors.
