Key Accountabilities:
Prepare wires by cutting, stripping, and crimping them accurately to meet the specifications required for fitting into control panels.
Follow and interpret electrical wiring schematics and general arrangement drawings to ensure all wiring is installed correctly and safely.
Label wires clearly and organise them neatly within panels to maintain easy identification and ensure compliance with quality standards.
Assemble and install wiring into control panels with a high level of precision and attention to detail, ensuring a professional finish.
Conduct peer-to-peer checks by reviewing fellow panel wirers’ work to verify accuracy and completeness prior to routine electrical testing.
Proactively identify any potential wiring faults or issues, communicating concerns clearly to supervisors and suggesting practical solutions or corrective actions.
Qualifications and Experience:
Successfully completed C&G 2382-18 (BS7671 18th Edition) training
Practical competence to satisfy the requirements of JIB approved or technical grade electrician
Ability to set out and instruct work based upon drawings, specifications and other documents.
Familiarity with various electrical legislation such as Electricity at Work Regulations, PUWER etc.
Familiarity with relevant British Standards Code of Practice.
