- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- A solid understanding of the Design & Technology curriculum
- A specialism in Food Technology or Engineering is desirable, but applicants with specialisms in other areas of Design & Technology are also encouraged to apply
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- A enhanced child-only DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
- Two professional references from recent employment
- Teach engaging Design & Technology lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students, covering both practical and theoretical aspects of the curriculum
- Make full use of the school’s modern facilities and resources to enhance student learning
- Motivate and challenge students of varying abilities, encouraging them to develop a love for the subject
- Contribute to extracurricular activities, promoting D&T beyond the classroom

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
