- Own and embody the teams values, including the promotion and embedding within the team
- Scope out of all historic and future IT spend by supplier, BU and geography – including International
- Engage IT teams to understand business strategies
- Create IT strategies, ensuring commercial tension across all areas of spend and a clear roadmap of activity based on contract expiry dates and business needs
- Understand and ensure the implementation of all IT Integration benefits through both personal delivery and matrix engagement with the IT teams
- Financial reporting of cost improvement on a P&L basis, interpreting CAPEX, OPEX, depreciation and cash flow
- Build a cutting-edge knowledge of the supply base, providing value adding insights to the IT community
- Operate agile and effective commercial processes
- Optimise buying channels, to ensure efficient transactional procurement
- Understand critical areas for Innovation and build a pipeline of opportunities to be shared with the supplier community
- Identification of global synergies
- Identification of revenue improvement opportunities
- Using stakeholder and supplier networks, identify continuous improvement and step-change opportunities to improve product and service specifications
- Provision of strong commercial leadership on all areas of IT costs
- Develop and conduct Rfx’s for market activity ensuring size and complexity are fit for purpose
- Creation and buy in to key supplier management strategy to drive improved performance across the supply base
- Develop an understanding and knowledge of all industry specific technology solutions
- Become a key member of the IT community
- Maximise contract compliance and spend under management
- Graduate calibre with Bachelor’s degree in Business (desirable but not mandatory)
- Post-graduate qualification (e.g. MSc/MBA) or a professional qualification such as MCIPS is desirable but not essential
- Project Management qualification desirable but not essential
- Technically and commercially astute
- Exceptional commercial experience (including strategy creation, implementation and benefit delivery)
- Building of IT strategies
- TCO modelling to define optimal cost structures
