Vision for Education is seeking a committed 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Colchester. This is a full-time role working closely with a pupil who requires additional support to access the curriculum and thrive in their learning environment.🧩 The Role:As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will:Provide individualised support to a pupil with special educational needsWork collaboratively with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionalsSupport the child’s academic, social, and emotional development throughout the school dayAdapt learning materials and approaches to suit the pupil’s needsMonitor progress and contribute to regular reviews and planning meetings✅ The Ideal Candidate:Has previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar support roleExperience supporting children with SEN (e.g. ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs) is highly desirableDemonstrates patience, empathy, and strong behaviour management skillsIs confident in supporting learning both in and outside of the classroomHolds a relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning – desirable but not essential)🎁 What Vision for Education Offers:Excellent daily rates paid weekly via PAYEFree access to CPD courses, including Behaviour Management and SafeguardingA dedicated, friendly consultant to support you throughout your placementOpportunities for long-term and permanent roles in Essex schoolsReferral bonus scheme for recommending friends or colleagues
