
IT Engineer Apprentice

- Acting as the first point of contact for all IT enquiries, both via phone and the internal helpdesk system
- Accurately logging all support calls into the helpdesk system, capturing relevant information and assigning appropriate priority levels
- Proactively monitoring the helpdesk system for new tickets, ensuring timely responses and follow-ups for support or additional details
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to hardware, networking, and software
- Keeping users informed by providing regular updates on the progress of their support requests
- Ensuring all tickets are fully documented with resolution details before being closed
- Recording key information on daily operational checklists to maintain service continuity and accountability
- Demonstrate the ability to meet high customer service standards and follow expected turnaround times
- Excellent communication skills, particularly via phone and email, with a clear and professional tone
- Strong technical aptitude, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies (full training provided as needed)
- Highly organised and methodical, with the ability to remain focused and efficient under pressure
- Proactive and adaptable, able to multi-task effectively and thrive in a collaborative team environment
- Flexible and reliable, with a willingness to support extended hours and on-call duties when required
- 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
- Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject
- You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.
