Aspire People are looking for committed and resilient SEMH Teaching Assistants to work in specialist SEMH schools across Rochdale.These are rewarding roles where you can make a genuine difference in the lives of pupils who need structure, empathy, and consistency to thrive.💼 About the Role:As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you'll work with pupils who may display challenging behaviour due to trauma, anxiety, or unmet emotional needs. You'll provide 1:1 support and small group intervention, helping pupils develop positive relationships, regulate their emotions, and engage in learning.You'll work as part of a dedicated and supportive team, creating a safe and nurturing environment that promotes personal growth and educational progress.🔍 We're Looking For:Experience working with children or young people with SEMH, behavioural needs, or similar challengesA calm, consistent, and non-judgemental approach
Resilience, empathy, and the ability to de-escalate situations effectively
Teamwork and strong communication skills
A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection
A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is helpful, but not essential✅ What We Offer:£100 - £115 per dayA variety of flexible roles to suit your availability
