This is an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced person to join our outstanding staff team. Experience of working within a special school / unit setting is essential for this post.The successful candidate will be working as part of a class team including a teacher, and other teaching assistants. Our Level 3 Teaching Assistants do not work with individual pupils but support the whole class and as part of the role plan for and teach the class when the teacher is out at meetings or on PPA time.Pendle View is an outstanding, vibrant and inclusive special school for pupils with a very wide range of special educational needs and disability. - NVQ Level 3 or above qualification or equivalent
- Maths and English Language GCSE A* - C or equivalent qualification - Certificates must be brought to interview
- Experience of working with children as at least TA2b within a special school environment.
- Experience of administrative work within a special school classroom.
- Experience of supporting pupils with challenging behaviour and / or medical needs within a special school environment.
