Job Description :Electrical Site Supervisor – Solar, BESS & ICP Projects (11kV–132kV)A specialist contractor within the power and renewable energy sector is seeking a hands-on Electrical Site Supervisor to lead and support electrical installations and maintenance across utility-scale solar farms, battery storage (BESS), and ICP works. This is a key on-site role involving both leadership and technical delivery of electrical works from LV through to HV systems up to 132kV.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise Electricians and Mates on site, supporting the Site Manager in day-to-day operations.Assist with planning and layout of electrical installations and timelines.Deliver complex installation and maintenance tasks on DC, LVAC, and HV systems.Perform corrective and preventative maintenance across solar, BESS, and ICP projects.Participate in associated civil works, including trenching and duct laying where required.Conduct electrical testing (AC/DC, HV/LV, SCADA, and communications systems).Use testing equipment such as Megger, Omicron, Sverker, etc., for insulation resistance, ductor, VLF, and injection testing.Terminate and gland a range of cable types, including larger size power cables and signal cables.Install and mount electrical enclosures, cable trays, and ladder racks.Manage labour, materials, and equipment to ensure efficient use and readiness.Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote safe working practices.Conduct quality checks and confirm work meets technical standards and specifications.Act as the main site contact for clients and project stakeholders, ensuring strong communication.Identify and resolve electrical issues efficiently on-site.Keep accurate records of site activity, materials, and compliance data.Mentor Electricians and Mates, guiding them through technical development and training programs.Provide additional on-site support as needed, under direction of the Site or Project Manager.Willingness to take on an Authorised Person (AP) role if required, based on qualifications and experience.RequirementsEssential RequirementsLevel 2/3 City & Guilds in Electrical Installation or Electrical Engineering17th/18th Edition (BS7671) Wiring RegulationsProven experience in:Solar farm and BESS constructionICP works (11kV–132kV)Electrical testing and fault finding on AC/DC, LV/HV systemsTerminations, glanding, trenching, and duct installationAbility to interpret electrical and civil schematicsECS or EUSR cardFull UK Driving LicenceStrong organisational and problem-solving skillsExcellent verbal and written communicationDesirable QualificationsAdvanced Level Apprenticeship in Electrical InstallationIOSH Managing Safely or SSSTS/SMSTSHV or LV Jointing certificationsTesting & Inspection certificationNERS PassportAP15/OP40 certified
