
Leakage Technician

You will be working across the Essex and Suffolk regions.
About the Role As a Leakage Technician, you’ll use a range of specialist equipment—including Correlators, Pipe Tracers, Ground Microphones, and Listening Sticks—to detect and pinpoint leaks. While experience in Step Testing, Trunk Mains, Validation, and Seepage detection is advantageous, it’s not essential.
Key Responsibilities as a Leakage Technician:
- Carry out detailed surveys to locate and assess water leakage, including on large diameter mains.
- Support repair teams by providing precise leak location data.
- Conduct survey and project work beyond standard leak detection tasks.
- Complete all required documentation accurately, including timesheets, survey forms, and leak reports.
- Perform Step Testing to identify areas of high leakage within the network—typically undertaken at night for accuracy and minimal customer disruption.
- Full UK driving licence
- EUSR Water Hygiene certification
- Unit 2 Street Works qualification
