121 ADHD Support AssistantLocation: BostonJob Type: Temporary, expected to work Full-Time hoursSalary: £77 - £85 Per dayA beautiful primary school in the heart of Boston are looking for an experienced individual to help support an ADHD pupil on a 121 basis. This school are highly praised for providing top quality education and support to all pupils. Whilst being a mainstream primary school, this school are dedicated to making sure all SEN pupils receive all the support they require and deserve.Job Duties:
  • Provide one-to-one support to students with Attention Deficient/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in an educational setting
  • Assist students in accessing the curriculum and participating in classroom activities
  • Support students in developing social skills and promoting positive behaviour
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for students with ADHD
  • Support students during transitions between activities and locations within the school
Working Conditions:The 121 ADHD Support Assistant will primarily work within an educational setting, providing support to students with ADHD. The role may involve working in classrooms, resource rooms, or other designated areas within the school. The assistant may also accompany students during outdoor activities or field trips. The work schedule is expected to be full-time, following the school's timetable. This is a temporary position, subject to the needs of the school and the student(s) requiring support.Required Qualifications:
  • A valid enhanced DBS on the update service, or willing to process one.
Experience:
  • Prior experience working with individuals with Attention Deficient/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in an educational or similar setting is essential.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Sound knowledge of ADHD and its impact on learning and development
  • Familiarity with different strategies and interventions for supporting students with ADHD
  • Ability to adapt and modify learning materials and resources to meet individual needs
  • Proficiency in using assistive technology and specialised resources for students with ADHD
  • Strong observation and assessment skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to safeguarding policies
  • Good understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with ADHD and strategies for supporting their learning and development
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, teachers, and other professionals
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Any qualification in SEN or ADHD support
  • First Aid certification
