With a high percentage of pupils eligible for pupil premium and a significant number with SEND (particularly in communication and interaction), the school provides a supportive, child-centred environment where progress and wellbeing go hand in hand.Responsibilities:
  • Support pupils with SEND in both classroom and one-to-one settings, promoting independence and emotional wellbeing.
  • Assist with the planning and delivery of personalised learning activities.
  • Promote high standards of behaviour and respond to incidents in line with school policy.
  • Work with teaching staff to monitor progress and provide clear, regular feedback.
  • Build strong relationships with families and professionals to ensure effective pupil support.
  • Contribute positively to the school’s ethos and inclusive culture.
Requirements:
  • Experience supporting children with SEND, particularly in communication and interaction.
  • A caring, adaptable communication style and ability to build pupil trust.
  • Commitment to inclusion, safeguarding, and promoting child welfare.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills with staff and external agencies.
  • Willingness to engage in training and continuous professional development.
  • Basic ICT skills and a proactive approach to learning.
