Handle Recruitment are proud to be partnering with a leading music client in their search for a Head of Royalties to join their royalties' function. Working with some of the best in the business, this Head Of Royalties position will be tasked with playing an integral part in the continual growth of the royalties' team performing key technical duties and projects.As the Head of Royalties, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end royalty process, ensuring accurate collection, processing, analysis, and distribution of royalty income and statements. You'll supervise an experienced royalties' team (4) and liase with internal departments and external partners to maintain integrity and efficiency in royalty operations.Management and Techinal duties will include and not be limited too the below tasks:
  • Commercial ownership of Royalties (including Business Development, concluding client agreements, client billing)
  • Manage the team's work prioritisation, allocation, and review alongside their professional development
  • Product and Service development with a focus on adding value to Client Royalty Service
  • Project Management - system implementation and improvement
  • Scope covers all Recording, Publishing , profit shares and management commission royalty accounting to our clients (labels, publishers , artists and IP owners)
  • Responsible for the accurate calculation (referencing contractual terms) processing, and distribution of royalties and other third-party revenues
  • Work closely with legal and business affairs teams to interpret contracts.
  • Proactively oversee royalty tracking across all clients, ensuring all statements received and resolving reporting issues and missing payments.
  • Proactively oversee any discrepancies in repertoire registration and collections with
The successful candidate will have:
  • Royalties experience in a management position within Music Industry
  • have experience with Curve and similar royalty software platforms
  • Experience with Project software,
  • Ptoject Management experience
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
