PLEASE NOTE: This role is not on the list of occupations eligible for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker routeAccidents involving motor vehicles give rise to countless claims and legal actions, affecting every kind of business and non-commercial organisation and their insurers. The sheer volume of cases, and the constant possibility of major costs and resources being involved, can impact seriously on the operational performance of any of the parties involved.What is needed most in this situation is a service that can help process cases with maximum speed and efficiency and achieve the most satisfactory settlements possible. Weightmans' Motor team is a market leader in this field offering a full service with dedicated teams dealing with Insurance, fast track, multi track, fraud, credit hire, indemnity issues and representation at inquests and criminal prosecutions.We are currently recruiting for an Insurance Motor Solicitor/Senior Solicitor 3-4 years PQE to manage a caseload of Insurance, intermediate/multi track motor cases for the Multi-track team in Liverpool or Manchester.Main duties and responsibilitiesManage caseload effectively and efficientlyInitially review liability, quantum and Claimant Solicitor conduct before devising a strategy for continued handling;Liaise with other solicitors, insurers, police, and witnesses to gather evidenceInstruct various experts as appropriateControl Case Manager Diary and action listsAttend at court hearings as appropriateAttend conferences and JSMs as directed by partner, subject to client approvalAssist with the management, supervision and development of more junior members of the teamComplete client and firm MI proceduresComply with Data Protection Compliance and ProceduresComply with CPR and rehabilitation protocolKeep up to date with legal developments in high value personal injuryAchieve set financial and chargeable targets/KPIsEnsure relevant deadlines and quality measures are adhered toThis list is not intended to be exhaustive and you will be expected to perform other duties and have other responsibilities that fall within the wider remit of the role. #INDHIGHAbout YouYou must have some experience of dealing with Insurance motor multi-track litigated claims and a genuine interest in the above area of work. As the role is varied, we are looking for you to have a flexible approach to the work you do and be able to adapt to different tasks.
  • Experience of handling/assisting a case load of litigated multi-track motor files.
  • Knowledge of CPR
  • Ability to work to meet deadlines and hit targets
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
  • Good communication skills
