Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pmWe are recruiting on behalf of a well-regarded children’s residential care provider for a Deputy Manager to support one of their homes in Darwen – working Monday to Friday, 9–5.This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking to step into a management role while maintaining regular working hours. You’ll be part of a committed, child-focused team supporting young people with emotional and behavioural needs in a stable, nurturing environment.Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Registered Manager in the daily operational running of the home
- Provide guidance and support to care staff during standard hours
- Monitor care plans, safeguarding processes, and quality standards
- Assist with audits, compliance, and staff supervision
- Ensure the home meets regulatory requirements and promotes best practice
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) – essential
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (or willing to work towards) – desirable
- At least 2 years’ experience in a residential childcare setting
- Good knowledge of safeguarding and Ofsted standards
- Strong organisational and leadership skills
- Full UK Driving Licence – essential
