- Create, maintain, and validate customer specifications, pack copy, artwork, and ancillary documents.
- Ensure all documentation meets Critical Path timelines and launch deadlines.
- Guarantee accuracy and legal compliance in line with customer labelling policies.
- Liaise effectively with suppliers to ensure raw materials meet technical and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth data transfer and specification setup.
- Support continuous improvement in specification processes and systems.
- experience in the food industry, ideally within food manufacturing.
- Proven background in specification writing for major UK retailers.
- Solid understanding of food and drink labelling regulations; formal training is a plus.
- HACCP and Food Safety Level 3 certification.
- Working knowledge of TACCP / VACCP principles and documentation.
- Exceptional communication and organisational skills across all levels.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and SharePoint.
- Skilled in managing multiple tasks and priorities under tight deadlines.
- High level of accuracy in data transfer and specification entry.
- Strong attention to detail with a "Right First Time" approach.
- Ability to work independently, proactively, and as part of a team.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing regulatory and operational demands.
- Hands-on, solution-focused mindset with a drive to resolve issues efficiently.
