
Emotional and Mental Health Support Assistant

- Provide 1 to 1 and group support to children with social, emotional and mental health needs.
- Develop and implement individual support plans in collaboration with educational staff
- Foster positive relationships with students, promoting trust and emotional safety
- Help students identify and express their emotions in a healthy manner
- Facilitate social skills development and conflict resolution
- Monitor and track student progress, reporting on emotional and behavioural change
- Support and encourage emotional awareness
- Experience supporting children and young people with educational needs and social, emotional and mental health needs will be beneficial but not essential
- Educational background in Psychology, Criminology or Education will be advantageous
- Strong communication skills
- Patience, empathy and genuine passion for supporting children
