Job Title: Production Planner
Location: Brough
Salary: £28000-£33000 DOE
Hours: Monday to Thursday 8am-4.30pm Friday 8am-1.30pm
Job Type: Temporary to Permanent - immediate start available for the right candidateJob Overview:We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Production Planner who will be responsible for organising production according to demand and quality standards. This role involves ensuring that production schedules are met and that products are delivered on time. The Production Planner will coordinate with various departments to manage inventory levels, forecast production needs, and allocate resources effectively.Key Responsibilities:
  • Production Scheduling
  • Develop and maintain production schedules, considering customer orders, inventory levels, and production capacity. Adjust schedules as needed to address production delays or changes in demand.
  • Liaise cross functionally with all areas of Operations as required to maintain an accurate Production Plan.
  • Liaise directly with the Engineering team to feedback any changes to the Production Plan that may impact customer delivery.
  • Publishes customer open order book schedules as requested.
  • Inventory Management
  • Monitor inventory levels of materials to ensure that production runs smoothly.
  • Provide updates and recommendations to relevant business leaders on safety stock levels, resource requirements, schedule amendments as appropriate.
Skills & Experience Required:
  • Level 3 in Procurement and Supply Operations, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 1+ years of experience in production planning, manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Can manage multiple jobs simultaneously.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience utilising MRP software (preferably Factory Master)
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Understanding of production processes, supply chain management, and inventory control.
