- A strong and varied showreel that covers motion graphics, character animation, visual effects and storytelling
- Very good understanding of animation principles, such as timing, key poses, squash and stretch, anticipation, follow-through, etc
- The ability to construct clear storyboards and mockups that visually communicate a sequence of ideas
- Ability to work within an art team, manage multiple tasks and work towards deadlines
- Good understanding of a skeletal animation program such as Spine
- Good knowledge of an animation program such as Animate, Toon Boom or After Effects
- Ability to develop various appealing animations and adapt to existing styles and guidelines set by Art Leads and Art Director
- A communicator with the ability to verbalise conceptual thoughts and with an openness to constructive criticism
- Knowledge of other Adobe packages like Photoshop
- Understanding how to compile animations for a game pipeline
- 3D animation skills and rigging
- Create high-quality storyboards and animations in all areas of the game such as symbols, characters, backgrounds and UI
- Take direction, iterate on look and feel, gather feedback from the entire team, and participate in the review of the full production of the animation in the game
- Work closely with Art Leads, Game Designers and Developers to detail the goals and implement animations into the game
