Up to £85,000About the RoleA fast-growing sports tech company is looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer with strong Ruby on Rails experience and React skills to help shape the future of their product platform. This is a remote-first role, ideal for engineers who want the flexibility of working from home while staying connected through occasional in-person team sessions (once a quarter in Edinburgh).As part of a small, collaborative product team, you'll be building and improving features that serve a large and passionate user base. You'll have a real voice in product direction, own technical decisions, and contribute directly to user success.What You'll Do
- Design, build, and maintain robust backend services using Ruby on Rails.
- Develop dynamic, responsive user interfaces with React (and occasionally React Native).
- Work closely with Product, Design, and Customer Success teams to understand user needs and deliver impactful solutions.
- Write clean, maintainable code and clear technical documentation.
- Take part in user conversations to inform development priorities.
- Continuously improve tools, processes, and performance through iteration and feedback.
- Extensive experience with Ruby on Rails in production environments.
- Experience with React (React Native is a plus).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
- Proven ability to work independently, take initiative, and own projects end-to-end.
- Comfortable translating technical goals into user-focused outcomes.
- Enthusiastic about collaborating with non-engineering teams and speaking with end users.
- Remote-first working with only minimal travel (once per quarter to Edinburgh).
