WELDING COORDINATOR REQUIRED IN BROWNHILLS, WEST MIDLANDS!!!Are you an experienced Welding Coordinator seeking a new job opportunity in the West Midlands?!We are looking for a Welding Coordinator to join a leading Engineering business in Brownhills, this is working a day shift pattern which is 8.00am - 16.30pm Monday - Thursday, with a 13.30pm finish on a Friday (38 hours per week), and the role comes with an annual salary of £35,000 per annum, the role also comes with regular overtime opportunities paid at T1/3 in the week, T1/2 on a Saturday and double time on a Sunday.You will be responsible for a team of Welders, Fabricators & the NDT department, so the hiring manager would like someone who has experience within both Welding & Fabrication, as well as some NDT experience.What You Will Do:
  • Review welding requirements and select suitable weld procedures to ensure project success.
  • Collaborate with production staff to allocate skilled welders to each project.
  • Perform front-line inspections at the fit-up stage and conduct random checks on welding parameters and pre-heats.
  • Inspect final welds and maintain welder repair matrices to uphold quality standards.
  • Manage and review NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) requirements across all projects.
  • Oversee consumables in the stores and ensure the calibration and maintenance of welding and heat treatment equipment.
What You Will Bring:
  • A strong understanding of welding procedures and standards.
  • Experience in managing NDT requirements and subcontractor personnel.
  • Proficiency in maintaining weld maps and documentation packs.
  • Knowledge of consumable control, calibration, and maintenance of welding and heat treatment equipment.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
