- ·Executing current state assessment and discovery of Applications underlying infrastructure and its obsolescence status
- Developing obsolescence remediation strategies and migration solutions of the underlying infrastructure components of in scope applications
- Coordinating with application/asset owners to ensure obsolescence management strategies are leveraged and prioritised within the various product and service lines of the business
- Creating the necessary detailed level handover document describing the migration solution to the project management and execution team
- Tracking and driving improvements to agreed mobilised obsolescence management strategies to ensure effective and efficient delivery
- Providing subject matter expertise and ability to articulate technical discussions and concepts to the senior management in relation to obsolescence
- Expert knowledge of IT infrastructure, including Operating Systems, Servers, Storage and cloud services
- Robust knowledge of middleware products with strong specific focus on database technology (Oracle, DB2 or MSSSQL) or Web Application server technology (IBM WebSphere Application Server or Oracle WebLogic)
- Proficiency in Scripting and automations tools, such as Python, PowerShell, Ansible
- Understanding of security principles and best practices
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with a focus on PowerPoint usage
- Advanced level knowledge of Spread sheet to do data analytics
- Familiarity with virtualization and containerization technologies, such as Docker, Kubernetes
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools
- certification in relevant technologies, such as AWS Certified Solution Architect
- Familiarity with Project Management fundamentals
- Eligible for a discretionary performance-related annual bonus
