Principal Structural Engineer – Underground StructuresA specialist consultancy, based in London are looking to employ a Principal Structural Engineer in their Underground Structures and Tunnelling team to help them deliver some of the most impressive and technically challenging projects in the UK and across the World.Responsibilities
  • Lead and deliver UK and international projects
  • Support and develop technical capabilities across service areas
  • Provide engineering solutions and present findings to managers and clients
  • Perform structural design and analysis using advanced software and global standards
  • Manage staff time, budgets, and project schedules
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary design processes and liaise with clients and stakeholders
  • Plan and allocate resources to optimise efficiency and revenue
  • Ensure quality and consistency through standardised procedures and peer reviews
  • Follow company procedures for service delivery and project management
  • Contribute to business development and client relationship building
  • Collaborate with internal teams and support cross-disciplinary initiatives
Requirements
  • The ideal candidate will be Chartered (ICE) and also have a post-grad qualification in a structural engineering related subject.
  • You must already have significant underground structures experience, whether than is tunnels, station boxes or shafts etc.
  • Experience in major infrastructure projects (often exceeding £100million)
  • Experience with various different design standards (Eurocodes, UK codes, AASHTO and other international industry standards)
Salary
  • £53,000 – £65,000
