- Negotiating, drafting, and managing the full lifecycle of commercial agreements across the oil and gas sector, including Joint Operating Agreements, Unitisation Agreements, Transportation and Processing Agreements, and Sale and Purchase Agreements.
- Maintaining strong working relationships with infrastructure owners, joint venture partners, regulators, and industry bodies.
- Providing clear, well-informed proposals and updates to senior stakeholders to support effective decision-making.
- Collaborating with internal teams to agree terms on new agreements, ensuring obligations are clearly defined and compliance measures are in place.
- Supporting internal planning by advising on commercial and contractual matters that influence future activities and forecasts.
- Ensuring timely fulfilment of contractual obligations by all parties, in line with agreed terms.
- Leading or supporting negotiations for new commercial agreements, ensuring alignment with industry best practice.
- Contributing to continuous improvement by sharing lessons learned and supporting cross-functional collaboration.
- Monitoring developments in the energy transition, considering implications for future commercial models and value creation.
- Working closely with legal, technical, and operational teams to ensure contract terms are commercially and operationally sound.
- Previous experience working as a Commercial Advisor within the UK upstream oil and gas sector.
- Strong understanding of relevant industry contracts and commercial frameworks.
- Proven track record in negotiating and managing agreements such as JOAs, TPAs, and SPAs.
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence and engage internal and external stakeholders.
- Highly organised, with a proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving.
- Competent in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Degree-qualified in a relevant discipline or equivalent industry experience.
