You will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless daily dining operations and delivering exceptional service for prestigious events, including formal dinners, receptions, and school celebrations.Location: Shrewsbury School, Shrewsbury, Shropshire, West MidlandsContract Type: PermanentShift Pattern: 5 out of 7 daysHours: 40 hours per weekRate of Pay: £13.94 per hourWhat You'll Be DoingDaily Operations:Overseeing the front-of-house service across dining halls, ensuring a seamless and welcoming experience.Leading, training, and motivating the front-of-house team to provide first-class service.Coordinating with the kitchen team to guarantee efficient meal service and accommodate special requests.Managing table settings, seating arrangements, and ensuring immaculate dining areas.Monitoring stock levels of front-of-house supplies, from tableware to linens.Liaise with Front of house manager to clearly understand the needs of the business.Close and effective communication with the Head Chef and other senior chefs to deliver eventsProvide direction and expertise to the operating area by promoting Shrewsbury School and Sodexo's strategies and best practice to uphold both company missions and values.Assist Hospitality manager and Head Chef adhere to all food hygiene and health and safety standards, to ensure they are maintained to the required client and Sodexo expectations as outlined by the DMS (Document Management System) on SodexoNet.People:Support selection process, recruit and induct the right team.Keep open channels of communication with all stakeholdersLead by example by role modelling the Sodexo Managerial BehaviorsClient:Ensure the FOH Team deliver the operation to the service standards agreed in the contract with the clientIdentify events involving parents and governors and recognise the importance of these key customer groups.What You'll BringProven leadership skills in a hospitality, restaurant, or high-end service environment.Strong organisational, time management and multitasking abilities.A professional and customer-focused approach.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.PC and software literateThe ability to perform under pressure and handle challenges with confidence and composure.Displays a constant and sustained level of enthusiasm and self-motivationStrong ability to build professional partnerships and communicate at all levels, particularly at senior client levelsAbility to set high standards, achievable through striving for continuous improvementAbility to act on own initiative and to work effectively as part of a teamFlexible approach to roleHold a personal UK driving license - desirable but not essentialWhat's In It For You?Working with Sodexo is more than a job; it's a chance to be part of something greater.
