This role is perfect for individuals passionate about supporting young learners in their educational journey and contributing positively to their growth and development.As a Primary Teaching Assistant (Primary TA), you will play a vital role in helping children succeed within the classroom. You will support the class teacher with lesson delivery, provide one-to-one or small group interventions, and assist pupils in accessing the curriculum effectively. Your role will be essential in ensuring children feel supported, motivated, and engaged throughout the school day.Responsibilities of a Primary Teaching Assistant:
- Support pupils across different Key Stages 1 and 2 with their learning and development.
- Work closely with teachers to deliver targeted interventions.
- Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils who may need additional help.
- Assist in classroom management and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Encourage and motivate pupils to achieve their potential both academically and socially.
- Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom atmosphere.
- CACHE Level 2 or 3, NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance, or a relevant qualification (desirable but not mandatory).
- Experience working in a primary school setting as a Primary Teaching Assistant is highly desirable.
- A degree in Education, psychology or a similar field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to different classroom environments.
- A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development.
- An understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
- Have an up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)
