Acoustic Consultant (Civils / Renewables / Transport)£45,000 – £53,000 DOE + 23 days holiday + hybrid + opportunity to train in a range of different specialisms + excellent career opportunitiesReadingAre you an Acoustic Consultant looking to work for one of the UK’s leading specialist environmental consultancies who can help broaden your experience into a wide range of different applications?Do you want to be a senior and respected specialist in a focused and professional consultancy that offers a wide range of services technically and commercially?You will be from a consultancy background and appropriately qualified looking to form a key part of a leadership team of experts. You will maintain a range of noise and vibration measurement instrumentation and your work will be supported by comprehensive noise modelling (using CadnaA) and prediction capability using in-house calculation tools.Responsibilities:
Undertake noise and vibration assessments, for example in buildings to make sure they meet building regulations, for planning applications and for environmental statements
Carry out sound insulation detailing and testing
Use acoustic models to investigate how changes in design affect sound levels and quality
Modify noise from road vehicles, aircraft or engineering equipment
Undertake data analysis, prediction, assessment and reporting
Liaise with a wide range of clients regarding their project requirements
Prepare tenders and accurate quotations for projects
Ensure projects are completed on time and to budget, liaising with clients and colleagues throughout
Prepare and produce reports and recommendations
The person:
A relevant first degree or post-graduate qualification (e.g. Diploma in Noise & Acoustics);
Ideally candidates should have noise modelling experience and corporate membership of the Institute of Acoustics
