Contract: Full-time, Term-time only (39 weeks)About the role:We are seeking dedicated and skilled Learning Support Assistants to join our inclusive and high-performing secondary school in Twickenham. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with students who require additional support to thrive—academically, socially, and emotionally.You will be supporting students across Key Stages 3 and 4, both in class and through small-group interventions, helping to remove barriers to learning and raise achievement.Key responsibilities:Support students with SEND, SEMH, and EAL needs in lessons across the curriculumProvide 1:1 or small group support where required, in and out of the classroomCollaborate with teaching staff and SENCO to implement support plans and personalised strategiesHelp maintain a calm and inclusive learning environmentRecord progress and contribute to regular review meetingsPromote student independence, confidence, and wellbeingIdeal candidate profile:Proven experience supporting students in a secondary school settingA strong understanding of special educational needs and the strategies that support themPatient, calm, and adaptable, with excellent communication skillsConfident working with a range of students, including those with autism, ADHD, or social/emotional needsCommitted to safeguarding, equality, and student progressWe offer:A welcoming, inclusive, and supportive school communityHigh-quality training and CPD opportunitiesOpportunities to develop specialisms (e.g., literacy/numeracy intervention, ELSA, behaviour support)Strong leadership and clear systems that value LSAs as key members of the teamExcellent location in Twickenham, with good public transport linksAll applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
