We are looking to hire an experienced European Power Trader with a focus on curve and proprietary trading. This is a front-office role suited to a commercially driven individual with a proven P&L track record, strong market instincts, and deep familiarity with European power markets. You will be responsible for generating risk-adjusted returns through directional, relative value, and volatility strategies across power markets in Continental Europe and the UK.Key ResponsibilitiesExecute discretionary prop trading strategies across European power forward curves (month, quarter, calendar)Identify and capitalize on relative value opportunities across countries, time periods, and asset classesFormulate and manage directional positions based on market fundamentals, flow, policy, and technical driversEngage in cross-commodity trades (gas, carbon, fuels) where appropriate to express correlated viewsMonitor market developments, regulatory shifts, and weather fundamentals that affect supply/demand and spreadsBuild and maintain trading models, dashboards, and analytics in collaboration with internal quants and analystsTake full ownership of position risk and P&L, ensuring compliance with limits and risk management framework
