
Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist

- Attending the monthly quality of care meetings with the team leads and managers from the wider teams, and ensuring there is governance within the team
- Leading on service development and clinical effectiveness
- Line management of team members
- Providing clinical supervision
- Assessment and treatment of adult neurology patients with communication and swallowing needs - this can include virtual work
- Assessment and treatment of patients with dysfluency or voice difficulties as competent to do so - this can include virtual work
- Providing support, supervision, training and line management of SLT/SLTAs as required
- Jointly leading the videofluoroscopy clinic at the Friarage Hospital (dependent on skill set)
- Being the team lead for the Hambleton and Richmondshire SLT team (dependent on skill set)

- Degree in Speech and Language Therapy
- HCPC registration
- Masters degree or equivalent experience
- Experience of joint work with SLTAs
- UK driving licence
- Relevant post graduate dysphagia qualification to masters level
- Leadership Development courses
- Videofluoroscopy experience
