
Highways Supervisor

- You'll deliver the services in line with contract requirements and to the satisfaction of the client and their customers
- Are you organised? You'll ensure all work allocated is appropriately programmed, planned, supervised, and executed in accordance with specifications, drawings, dimensions and within agreed commercial limits
- You'll focus on operational gross margins of all work that you are delivering, from the pre-works planning stage, to on site supervision - through effective management.
- You'll be responsible for the day-to-day Health & Safety of directly employed staff and Supply Chain Partners and deliver tool box talks
- You'll ensure all work carried out is in accordance with local operational procedures and M Group Highways policies by ensuring instructions have target cost/and or job code and that any changes to work requests are formally recorded and coded
- You'll agree, set and monitor performance objectives in terms of time, cost, safety and quality programme
- Are you a leader? You'll provide training, development and encouragement to staff and operatives to ensure all works are fully resourced
- You'll manage all vehicles and plant used in the depot.
- Do you enjoy sharing knowledge? You'll support development and mentoring of the apprentices
- You'll be involved in Emergency and Winter Maintenance.
- You'll need experience in construction delivery and workforce supervision
- You'll be commercially driven to be able to capture working cost efficiencies, cost control and saving money where possible for the benefit of the client and M Group Highways
- You'll need experience within the highway maintenance industry, or have CSCS, NRSWA and SSSTS/SMSTS.
- Have you previously been a team manager? You'll provide leadership, motivational and influencing skills to get the best from everyone
- Are you IT literate? You'll need general IT skills, ideallyt in Microsoft Office products
- You'll drive excellent relationships with contacts at all levels - from the client to colleagues and contacts across the wider Milestone company
- Can you remain flexible? You'll need this approach in the role whilst embracing change and helping to drive that change through the wider teams and through into the delivery
