You will be supporting both adults and children with physical and learning disabilities, working as part of a multidisciplinary team. The role involves conducting assessments and treatments within the community, including carrying out risk assessments to ensure safety and promote independence.Key Responsibilities:Undertake functional assessments of service users in the communitySupport treatment plans designed by qualified Occupational TherapistsWork with individuals with complex physical and/or learning disabilitiesConduct risk assessments and make recommendations for equipment and adaptationsCollaborate with families, carers, and other professionals to promote independence and improve quality of lifeMaintain accurate and timely case records and reportsRequirements:Previous experience working in a community or local authority settingExperience supporting individuals with physical and learning disabilitiesUnderstanding of occupational therapy principles, risk management, and person-centred planningThis is a great opportunity for an Assistant OT looking to further their experience in a supportive and dynamic team environment.Interested?
