The Pastry Cook is responsible for the production of all pastry items onboard (Guest and Crew), according to standards established by our culinary partners.Key Responsibilities
- The Pastry Cook be assigned a station in the pastry to prepare all pastry items for the vessel. He/she be assigned to the day shift or night shift, depending on operational needs.
- Assists with the transportation of food items from the main stores to the pastry when assigned.
- Duties include the cleaning and sanitizing of their working area and working utensils following the United States Public Health rules and regulations and all times.
- Will be assigned occasionally in an early standby in the pastry for USPH purposes.
- Is aware of and/or acquires the necessary knowledge to comply with the ship's standard operation, to assist guests and crew members with inquiries.
- Active participation in onboard training programs.
- Additional duties, not mentioned here, will be expected as per management request.
- Languages: Fluent English.
- Education: High school degree or related. Culinary training mandatory.
- Previous professional experience: 2 years in a similar capacity in a luxury culinary environment.
- Shipboard experience: Not required but preferred.
- Valid STCW certificates.
- Valid Pre-Employment Medical.
- C1D visa mandatory for all positions.
