In this role, you will be responsible for servicing, diagnosing, and repairing a range of vehicles to the highest technical and safety standards. This is a mobile role, and a company van will be provided.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out diagnostics, servicing, and mechanical repairs on a range of vehicles.Inspect vehicles to identify faults, defects, or potential failures and report findings.Replace tyres as required, ensuring all work meets technical and safety standards.Use a variety of tools and equipment to complete repairs efficiently.Adhere to manufacturer guidelines and company procedures at all times.Clearly communicate with customers regarding the work required and completed.Ensure vehicles are safe and roadworthy before returning them to service.Identify required repairs and faulty components in line with technical documentation.Key ObjectivesMinimise vehicle off-road (VOR) time by ensuring quick and effective repairs.Deliver excellent customer service and communication at all times.Collaborate with third-party suppliers to support timely turnaround of vehicles.Support parts ordering and stock management for the fleet.Work closely with internal teams to ensure a seamless repair process.Required Qualifications & SkillsFull UK Driving Licence (essential – company van provided)Strong customer service and communication skillsAbility to explain technical issues in simple terms to customersIMI Level 3 Diploma in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent (e.g. City & Guilds)Experience & AttributesEssential:Experience in a mobile or workshop technician roleComfortable working with a variety of commercial vehicle typesAbility to multitask and work under pressurePositive, customer-focused attitudeTeam-oriented but able to work independentlyDesirable:Experience using IDS diagnostic machinesAvis Budget Group is a leading global provider of mobility solutions, operating three of the most recognized brands in the industry through Avis, Budget and Zipcar, the world’s leading car-sharing network.
