We are looking for analytical engineers to join our Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) team, delivering world-class, closed-loop performance testing for advanced defence systems. This is a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of technology, helping ensure the highest levels of operational confidence through cutting-edge testing and simulation. The HWIL team conducts dynamic firing simulations using real hardware to support product development, performance validation, and de-risking trials. You will work in a state-of-the-art facility equipped with advanced target generation and flight motion systems, recreating near real-world scenarios and integrating model data in real time to simulate in-flight performance, target detection, and homing.Because HWIL projects cover such a wide range of activities, the work is varied and challenging-no two weeks will be the same. Your focus will be on integrating, maintaining, and running complex simulations that provide critical data and insights for product development.Key ResponsibilitiesUnderstand system sub-components involved in dynamic testingAssess and manage interactions between systems and bespoke test equipmentCollaborate closely with multidisciplinary engineering teamsDevelop and run real-time simulations using performance modelsConduct experiments with integrated hardware and software systemsAnalyse performance data and prepare clear reports on findingsWhat We're Looking For
We are seeking engineers with a broad technical background. Experience in some of the following areas will be an advantage (you do not need to have all of them):System integration and interface debuggingStructured problem-solving techniquesSoftware or simulation designTesting of sensors or other sub-systemsSystem performance analysisWhat We OfferA varied and challenging role in a cutting-edge engineering environmentHybrid and flexible working optionsEnhanced parental leave and family supportExcellent on-site facilities including subsidised meals and free parkingA collaborative and innovative workplace with opportunities for professional development
