- Responsible for assessment and completion of comprehensive formulation of risk and treatment needs.
- Development and delivery of multi-modal group and 1:1 therapeutic intervention as well as provide specialist assessments to those being transferred to the secure training facility as required
- HCPC registered Occupational Therapist.
- Sensory trained (e.g. Ayres Sensory Integration trained)
- Experience in conducting diagnostic neurodevelopmental/ specialist developmental assessments with children and young people.
- Experience working with children and young people with neurodevelopmental disorders or mental health difficulties in a clinical setting.
- Knowledge of DSM-5 diagnostic criteria and appropriate assessment tools for autism and ADHD.
- Knowledge of differential diagnosis.
- Ideally ADOS-2/ ADI-R trained.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience in report writing and record keeping.
- Additional qualifications in relevant areas of autism and/ or ADHD.
- Clinical Supervision integral to the role.
- Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
