Job Description Sonographer (Vascular Theatre Support) Leicester Hospital | Theatre | | Part-Time - Ad-Hoc Up to £45.00 per hour, depending on experienceMain duties of the jobProvide real-time ultrasound imaging to support vascular surgical procedures in theatre. Assist the vascular surgeon in identifying vessels, mapping veins, and guiding interventions. Ensure all imaging equipment is prepared, safe, and functioning correctly before procedures. Work as part of the multidisciplinary theatre team, supporting safe and efficient patient care. Maintain accurate documentation of imaging and contribute to patient records in line with policy. Comply with local infection prevention, radiation protection (if applicable), and patient safety protocols. You hold a BSC degree in diagnostic radiography or equivalent to meet the registration requirements of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), a postgraduate qualification and excellent teamwork skills. Key Responsibilities * Provide real-time ultrasound imaging to support vascular surgical procedures in theatre.

  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary theatre team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
