
Assembly Supervisor

- 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday shifts - No weekends and days only
- During a 6-month probation period 8:00 am - 4:30 pm schedule
- (After probation, you will have the option to choose from the following shifts:8:00 am - 4:30 pm, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm)
- You will also finish earlier on a Friday 12.30pm or 1.30pm depending on your shift.

- Oversee, coordinate, and optimise daily activities of assembly and test teams to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.
- Assign work orders, monitor progress, and optimise schedules to meet production deadlines.
- Ensure all assembled products meet or exceed quality standards; perform inspections and audits to address issues.
- Develop and implement leadership and development programmes to enhance team and individual performance.
- Lead, train, and mentor operatives, deputies, and team leaders, fostering teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to support employee growth.
- Create clear succession plans to ensure business sustainability.
- Identify areas for improvement in assembly processes and implement strategies to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Collaborate with technical, planning, purchasing, engineering, and production teams to streamline operations.
- Enforce safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
- Monitor and maintain equipment, tools, and workstations.
- Maintain accurate records of assembly operations, including production reports, quality logs, and attendance.
- Prepare and present regular reports to management on production performance, quality metrics, and improvement actions.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth coordination of activities and alignment with overall production goals.
- Strong leadership and team management skills and the ability to coach and mentor- as you will be looking after 4 direct reports, who also have staff working under them.
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt is advantageous
- Experience in assembly or manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of quality control, lean techniques, and continuous improvement processes.
- Excellent communication, planning, and organisational skills.
