  • Creating 3D CAD models for assemblies and components, and producing 2D drawings using PTC Creo and AutoCAD
  • Maintaining existing product lines – assisting in updating and improving drawings and models using official EAN procedures
  • Value Engineering projects / product improvements
  • Creating, developing and maintaining product instruction and operating manuals along with other product/sales literature
  • Supporting and assisting in producing contract documentation and working closely with the engineering team to deliver large-scale one-off projects
  • Support in developing quality and work procedures for the workshop and factory
  • Participating in client and project meetings
  • Managing BOMs within the companies MRP system
  • Preparation of designs, calculations, specifications, and tender documentation as part of the project team
Mechanical Design Engineer - The Person:
  • Prior experience designing piece part components
  • Competent in casting and machining drawing interpretation
  • Understanding of geometrical tolerances
  • Good level of competence using 2D CAD package such as AutoCAD
  • Good Knowledge of 3D CAD software such as PTC Creo or Solidworks.
  • Strong numerical and methodical problem-solving skills
  • Experience of BoM creation and control within CAD package
