The RoleWe're seeking an accomplished Senior Goldsmith to join a prestigious fine jewellery house known for its heritage craftsmanship and bespoke excellence. This role is central to the delivery of expert repairs, high-value commissions, and new collection development within a dedicated in-house workshop. You'll collaborate closely with the Workshop Manager and wider team to uphold the brand's exceptional standards of quality and artistry.Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out intricate repairs and restorations to the company's renowned standard
  • Work in collaboration with the Workshop Manager and fellow goldsmiths on bespoke and special commissions
  • Provide design, materials, and production input on unique client pieces and in-house collections
  • Interpret and execute designs from detailed CAD files or hand-drawn technical sketches
  • Meet clients to consult on complex repairs and fully bespoke projects
  • Provide accurate estimates for labour and materials
  • Share knowledge and develop the skills of junior workshop members
  • Maintain accurate job records, including time and materials tracking
  • Ensure all work meets rigorous internal quality checks and specifications
  • Contribute to a safe, clean, and well-organised workshop environment
  • Occasionally demonstrate craftsmanship in-store and at client-facing events
  • Act as an ambassador for the brand and maintain the utmost confidentiality at all times
The Ideal Candidate
  • 10+ years' hands-on bench experience in goldsmithing
  • Highly skilled in diamond and coloured gemstone setting
  • Confident working in gold, platinum, and silver
  • Experienced in repairs, resizing, re-tipping, polishing, and complex restorations
  • Proven track record working on bespoke and high-value jewellery pieces
  • Strong knowledge of gemstones and precious metals
  • Experience with laser welding and micro-setting is a bonus
  • Comfortable producing time and cost estimates for custom work
  • Meticulous attention to detail and unwavering commitment to quality
  • Collaborative team player with strong communication skills
  • Customer-focused and professional in manner
