A leading independent girls' school who pride themselves on their hard work, strong values and exceptional achievements. They are looking for a dynamic, professional and personable HR Advisor to support with the smooth running of the school.About the HR Advisor role:This is a generalist HR role with a breadth of responsibilities and the opportunity for development. Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Provide HR advice, guidance and support by responding promptly and accurately to enquiries and resolving all matters on HR processes and procedures
- To work closely with the Bursar and HR Administrator to provide a coherent and consistent HR support across the College and Prep
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the HR system
- Monitor absences
- Maintain appraisal records on the HR system
- Advise line managers on performance management processes and ensure all staff receive an effective, annual performance review documentation
- Regular maintenance and organisation of office filing systems, retaining documents, correspondence and other records in line with HR and GDPR procedures
- Participate in training and development activities and programmes and attend and participate in meetings as required
- Perform any other duties as requested by the Bursar as commensurate with the post
- Experience of handling complex employee relation matters fairly and confidently
- Approachable with excellent people skills
- Part or full CIPD qualification desirable
- Strong customer/client service skills
- Professional communication across a range of stakeholders and the ability to work with discretion when managing highly confidential information
- Team-orientated and also comfortable working autonomously
- Strong organisation and time management skills
- Competent Microsoft Office skills.
