Management Accountant RoleNC Associates are working exclusively with a long established and entrepreneurial property organisation based in Trafford Park to help recruit a Management Accountant. As a Management Accountant you will be working closely with senior members of the finance team, this is a broad role that will provide support in the production of management and statutory accounts for a number of group companies as well as driving improvement in processes, controls and reporting to enable this business growth. The role will also involve financial reporting and providing finance business partnering on the group’s development projects.Management Accountant Responsibilities
  • Preparation of entity level management accounts and reporting packs to ensure that these are presented accurately and on time.
  • Produce accurate monthly balance sheet and inter-company loan reconciliation's and P&L account analysis workings to support the management accounts.
  • Post journal entries into Xero for various month end adjustments and quarter end process journals.
  • Work closely with the senior members of the team in the production of the quarterly group consolidated management accounts and year end statutory financial statement preparation.
  • Assisting the preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting packs for the Group’s Joint Ventures and Development SPV’s which are distributed to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Preparation of quarterly bank compliance and tenancy schedule report ready for review.
  • Update project WIP reconciliation's for major development projects, working closely with the project team.
  • Assist in cash-flow forecasting to support financial planning.
  • Liaise with the auditors and assist senior members of the finance team in the management of audit queries and responses.
  • Supporting the wider business through the on-going systems process and improvements.
  • Involvement in ad hoc project work to ensure the continuous improvement of internal controls, finance transformation and processes across the finance department.
Management Accountant Experience Required
  • A commercially astute part qualified - newly qualified accountant with a strong eye for detail.
  • 1-2 years industry experience, working in a similar sector would be preferable but not essential
  • Strong working knowledge of producing management accounts and balance sheet reconciliation's.
  • The ability to work as part of a team and hit tight deadlines.
  • Strong communicator and able to articulate financial information in an easy to understand format.
  • An eye for process improvements and the confidence to make suggestions.
  • Familiar with Xero or similar accounting systems.
