Vehicle Technician required in Benfleet, Essex.They are a family runs business which specialises in repairing and rebuilding manual, semi-automatic and fully automatic gearboxes. Over the years they have become the UK's “go to company” for anything gearbox related! There isn't anything that they don't know about gearboxes and this is why, as the cars of today become more difficult and expensive to fix, they need people that know how to fix gearboxes!The role as a Vehicle Technician will be predominantly taking gearboxes out of vehicles, both manual and automatic once they have been fixed then refitting them to vehicles. There are other occasional tasks that come along such as servicing and basic repairs to vehicles.Details & Benefits for the Vehicle Technician:
  • Salary Circa: £44,000 p.a. (depending on what your experience is working with different gearboxes).
  • Working hours are Monday - Friday: 8.00am-5.00pm or 9.00am-6.00pm.
  • No weekends worked in this role!
  • Holiday Allowance: 20 days + bank holidays.
  • The business closes for 2 weeks over Christmas - you would use 3 days of your holiday allowance for Christmas however the owner gifts 5 days given to you to complete the 2 week period!
  • Other Benefits: the availability to fix your own vehicles at weekends / over time available at weekends too.
They are looking for is a skilled Vehicle Technician with a professional track record stripping and re-fitting gearboxes ideally. The role is physically demanding so the successful Vehicle Technician will need to be physically fit as well as have their own tools, a full UK driving licence and be easily able to travel to their site.If you are a highly skilled Vehicle Technician and you are looking to work for a highly regarded company in their field, then apply now!
