
Payroll Technician

- Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll input, guaranteeing employees receive correct pay.
- Assist with verifying all payroll input and changes made by the team.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the reasons behind each task and recognise the impact of your actions.
- Check authorisations to ensure they comply with company directives.
- Respond promptly and thoroughly to employee queries raised via tickets or telephone, adhering to service level agreements and providing comprehensive information on all aspects of pay and deductions.
- Administer all leave schemes according to Royal London’s policies and statutory requirements.
- Follow established processes, suggest improvements, and discuss potential changes with the team.
- Assist the Payroll Manager with ad hoc tasks as required.
- Provide cover for Senior Payroll Technicians and undertake their responsibilities during periods of absence.
- Experience in a payroll administration role and a good understanding of payroll legislation
- Good level of PC literacy, particularly with computerised payroll systems
