As a Conveyancing Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the firm’s residential conveyancing team, working closely with experienced property professionals.   • Assisting fee earners and the wider residential conveyancing team with day-to-day conveyancing matters, including sales, purchases, freehold, and leasehold transactions.
  • Managing administrative tasks such as preparing legal documents, processing searches, and liaising with clients, agents, and solicitors to ensure files progress smoothly.
  • Supporting with shared ownership, new build, remortgage and equity cases as required by the business.
  • Maintaining up-to-date records and accurate documentation in line with legal and company procedures.
  • Communicating with clients professionally and efficiently, delivering high standards of client care at all times.
  • Working collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative and strong organisational abilities.
Experience and Skills for a Conveyancing Assistant Role
  • Previous experience in a conveyancing assistant, legal secretary, or similar administrative support role (minimum 1 year preferred).
  • Solid understanding of the residential conveyancing process and legal administration.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and written skills with a client-focused approach.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • High levels of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality.
  • Proficient IT skills, including competence with case management systems and Microsoft Office.
