- Respond to MRP messages in order to procure material to support production requirements, according to ordering policies designed to minimize inventory costs and being left with inactive, obsolete and surplus inventory.
- Responsible for maintenance of Purchase Orders raising and closing PO’s in accordance with Operational needs.
- Monthly forecasting for Suppliers.
- Maintenance of key procurement parameters.
- Dealing with hold racks, invoice discrepancies and customs issues.
- Own the end to end process of part / product processing ensuring on-time delivery
- Identify any potential quality issues and work with the client and Supplier to resolve
- Actively communicate with both internal and external Suppliers and Customers
- Liaise with internal Manufacturing Engineering for any defective products
- Monitor Supplier performance and undertake Supplier performance reviews manage Supplier performance to ensure site is working with the right strategic Suppliers to support short & long-term objectives. Take assertive position with Suppliers who are past due, to ensure that every alternative is explored to improve past due delivery schedules.
- Actively support and seek opportunities to develop and streamline relationships with Suppliers. Actively work to improve the purchasing process.
- Collaborate with cross-functional Teams to optimize procurement processes.
- Experience in Purchasing or relevant, preferably in production company.
- Working knowledge of SAP (or familiar ERP System).
- Very good written and verbal communication skills, negotiation skills and ability to liaise with all levels of internal and external Suppliers / Customers.
- Responsive and responsible to deliver on commitments.
- Ability to manage multiple activities and projects.
- Able to work with high workloads and continuously re-prioritise.
- Analytical and Numerate.
- Microsoft Office (Excel in advance level).
- High standard of Health & Safety

- Quick learner, result-oriented, proactive, team-player.
- PC literate.
